BG's east side topic of meeting The Community Improvement Committee of Bowling Green meets Monday at 6 p.m. in the City Administrative Services Building, 304 N. Refreshments will be served at 7:30 a.m. Extra patrols out this weekend The Wood County Sheriff's Office will conduct increased patrols over the St. Patrick's Day weekend through Monday. Deputies will pay particular attention for violations, such as driving under the influence, failure to yield, and speeding, all of which are leading factors in fatal crashes. The blitz is funded by a grant from the Ohio Traffic Safety Office. Bihn will describe the problems associated with the introduction of Asian Carp into waterways and the need for a permanent solution. She will also address the role of climate change in the dropping water level of Lake Erie. This program is free and open to the public.
