Fire school at BGSU this weekend
The Northwest Ohio Volunteer Firemen's Association will hold its annual fire school on Saturday and Sunday on the campus of Bowling Green State University.
Training will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.
Last year, more than 1,200 first responders and emergency personnel from all over Northwest Ohio participated. Classes cover from medical to agricultural emergencies, methamphetamine labs, hazmat/weapons of mass destruction, fire and explosion investigations, military and commercial aircraft response, homeland security issues and different firefighting experiences.

Bingo played in Dunbridge
DUNBRIDGE - The volunteer fire department will hold a bingo tournament Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. at the fire hall, corner of Ohio 582 and Dunbridge Road.
Sandwiches and pop will be available.
The jackpot game will be played at 9 p.m.
This is the last bingo of the season.

Drama club fundraiser at Mr. Spots
To raise money for the trip to international competition, the Bowling Green High School Drama Club parents have planned a Wine, Drama, and Song event Saturday at Mr. Spots from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Tasting expert Nick Heineman will be on hand to pour wines and provide insight into wine-making.
Drama Club alums Brigitte Reinke, Sara Swisher and Anna Gorman will sing, and the mother-son duo Julie and Joe Buzzelli will perform.
Meijer, The Andersons and Krogers are donating food.
Tickets can be purchased at the door, and there is no minimum purchase required.

ODOT does work on I-475
The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District Two announces that on Sunday, from 8 a.m. until noon, expect intermittent lane restrictions in both directions of I-475 from SR 25 to Hull Prairie Road for survey work.
All work is weather permitting.

Saturday - Partly cloudy. Highs in the mid 40s. Mostly cloudy overnight. Not as cool with lows in the upper 30s.
Extended forecast - Showers likely Sunday. Highs in the lower 50s with south winds gusting up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent, increasing to 80 percent overnight. Lows in the upper 30s. Cloudy Monday with a 40-percent chance of rain and snow showers. Highs in the lower 40s and lows in the upper 20s. On Tuesday, partly sunny with highs in the lower 40s.

Novel Chit Chats is Monday
The monthly “Novel Chit Chats” book discussion for adults and children will have its next meeting on Monday at 7 p.m. in the Wood County District Public Library Children’s Place. We will be reading “Chasing Vermeer” by Blue Balliett, in recognition of Youth Art Month.
Everyone is invited to come discuss this novel of puzzles, codes, art theft, and two intrepid kids trying to solve the clues before it’s too late. Copies are available for checkout in the Children’s Place.
