Findlay man dies from crash injuries
A Findlay man has died from injuries suffered in a Feb. 14 accident on Interstate 75 north of Bowling Green.
David Barnd Jr., 47, died Thursday in the University of Toledo Medical Center.
He was driving a 2004 GMC Yukon northbound on I-75, south of Ohio 582, at about 7 a.m. when he went off the left side of the roadway and into the median. His vehicle overturned several times before coming to rest in the southbound lanes.
Barnd was ejected from the vehicle and landed in the median. He was not wearing his seat belt.
Visitation for Barnd will be Tuesday from 1 to 6 p.m. in Coldren-Crates Funeral Home, Findlay. There will be no funeral service.
Fire reported this morning east of BG
Center Township and Pemberville-Freedom Township firefighters extinguished a structure fire this morning in the 16000 block of Chamberlain Road.
The site is about three miles east of Bowling Green.
Units were paged about 6 a.m. and all had returned to station by 8:15.
Initial reports were that smoke was detected around a barn. Flames were reported showing a few minutes later by a Wood County Sheriff's deputy who responded to the call.
Ice cream social at Kenwood
The Kenwood Elementary Ice Cream Social has been rescheduled for Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
There will be desserts for sale, prize raffles, a cake raffle and a school-wide art display.
The social was originally scheduled for last week, but canceled due to the inclement weather. Money raised goes toward PTO projects.

Advisory council meets Thurs.
The Wood County District Advisory Council will meet Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the board room of the Wood County Health Department, 1840 E. Gypsy Lane Road, Bowling Green.
All District Advisory Council members, including village mayors and township trustees, are encouraged to attend.
The meeting is open to the public.
BG Rotary Club meets Thurs.
Bowling Green Rotary Club will hear a report on the Group Study Exchange in India by Sheila McQuiston at its Thursday meeting starting at 11:40 a.m. Bowling Green Country Club.
