Nature Center has $64,000 for renovations
The Building on Nature Campaign of the Bowling Green Parks and Recreation Department has reached $63,892
in cash and $18,225 in pledges, Bowling Green’s Board of Parks and Recreation was told Tuesday night.

The goal is $300,000 to renovate the Rotary Nature Center at the Wintergarden/St. John’s Nature Preserve
on South Wintergarden Road.
The project will also an outbuilding that will provide a modern restroom.
Possible cable tampering in BG
The Bowling Green Police Division requests that businesses be aware of possible tampering with cable,
telephone and alarm lines.
On Thursday, a business in the city had its cable cut in the evening hours. It is unknown if this
incident was testing to see what response occurred or if it was just vandalism.
Any suspicious activity should be reported to the BGPD.
Pee wee league, bike tour get BG grant money
Bowling Green’s Board of Parks and Recreation has awarded two support grants for 2014.
The BG Pee Wee League and the BG Summer Bike Tour will each receive $500.
Grant applications were sought late in 2013 for the program.
Dinner out benefits shelter
Dine at Buffalo Wild Wings on East Wooster Street on Wednesday between 5 and 9 p.m. and 10 percent of all
proceeds will benefit the Wood County Humane Society.
Diners must have the coupon to benefit the WCHS.
