Perrysburg tax income is up
PERRYSBURG - So far, so good for tax collections in the city.
Income tax receipts were $1.6 million in the month of January, up three percent over last year.
The increase was noted by Finance Committee Chair Tom Mackin during the committee's report at Tuesday's council meeting.

Euchre tourney at BG VFW
Bowling Green VFW #1148, at 719 N. Main St., will hold a euchre tournament Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
The $10 entry fee includes lunch.
First, second and third place will receive cash prizes.

Heart Health is Way Library topic Tuesday
PERRYSBURG - Way Public Library and Mercy Family Physicians will present an informative program on Heart Health with focus on hypertension and high cholesterol on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the library. This event is free and reservations are not required.
The program will be presented by Ashley Thomasson, nurse practitioner. Thomasson has experience in family medicine, geriatric care and internal medicine. She studied at the University of Toledo where she earned her master's degree in nursing, specializing in adult nurse practitioner/clinical nurse specialist after receiving her bachelor's degree in nursing.
She currently works at Mercy Family Physicians in Perrysburg and she is a member of the Ohio Association of Advance Practice Nurses.

Wood Workers Guild meets
The Northwest Ohio Wood Workers Guild will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at Laborie Enterprises on South Dixie Highway in Portage.
Doug Laborie will discuss identifying and classifying types of wood.
The meeting is open to the public and guests are welcome.
