Head-on crash on U.S. 6 hurts two
Body: PEMBERVILLE – Two people were transported to the hospital from the scene of a head-on collision
Friday at about 6 p.m. at U.S. 6 and Pemberville Road.
Wood County Sheriff and Pemberville EMS responded to the scene, but no further information was available
at press time this morning.No Sentinel on Presidents Day
The Sentinel-Tribune will not be published on Monday.
Also, the City of Bowling Green offices will be closed on Monday. All refuse and recycling collection
will be delayed by one day.
Search for bald eagles
GRAND RAPIDS – Join Wood County Park District staff looking for wintering bald eagles from 4 to 5 p.m.
Tuesday.
More than a dozen eagles that have gathered on the Maumee River near downtown have been seen in the last
week. Ducks, herons and geese have also been drawn to the open water.
Meet at the Grand Rapids public parking lot, 24099 Front St. Bring binoculars, warm clothes and snow

Herb Dettmer signs book
Local author Herb Dettmer will be holding book readings and signings of his latest work,
"Others," beginning Tuesday.
The first of the events will be held Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. at the North Baltimore Senior Center, 514 W.
Water St.
A second signing will be Feb. 24 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Flying Joe’s, 2130 Preston Parkway at Levis Commons
in Perrysburg. The third will be Feb. 27 at 11:30 a.m. at Stimmel’s Market, 1220 W. Wooster St.
Ridge Street park talk is Feb. 24
Bowling Green’s Parks and Recreation Department will hold a public forum Feb. 24 to discuss future plans
for the Ridge Street Park.
After demolition of the old school on the site, the property will become a city park.
The forum will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Wood County Senior Center, 305 N. Main St.
