BG woman arrested for DV
A city woman was arrested Tuesday night following a domestic incident on North Grove Street.
Police report that Jessica Martinez, 28, was arrested in the 1000 block of North Grove for domestic violence after an incident involving another female.
She was also arrested on a warrant from the Wood County Sheriff's Office for non-support of dependents.

Bloom Twp. changes meeting
BLOOMDALE - Bloom Township Trustees have moved their meeting from Monday to Feb. 6 at 7 p.m. in the township hall on Oil Center Road.

Best soups, chilies sought
The 2014 BG Soup and Chili Cook-Off is seeking the best soups and chilies in Wood County.
Entries are open through Feb. 8 for the Winterfest Soup and Chili Cook-off which will take place at noon on Feb. 15 at the Veteran's Building in Bowling Green's City Park.

Any chili or soup will qualify as an entry and entrants should prepare one gallon of the recipe to serve the up to 250 people who come to taste and judge the popular event. There is a $12 entry fee per recipe and entrants need to set up by 11:30 a.m. on Feb. 15 and serve till 2 p.m. People's Choice judging will take place and the winner will be announced by 2:15 p.m. Space is limited to 20 entries.
The cook-off is once again sponsored by the BG Women's Club, BG AAUW Branch, the BG Zonta Club and supported by the BG Parks and Recreation Department. Any proceeds go towards the scholarship fund for each service club.
