Offices, library will be closed for MLK Day
Bowling Green City offices will be closed Monday in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Trash collection will be delayed one day.
The Wood County District Public Library and its branch in Walbridge also will be closed.

Sentinel-Tribune won't publish on Monday
There will be no issue of the Sentinel-Tribune Monday because of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
Today's issue contains two pages of comics so readers will not miss their favorite comics.

Inauguration Watch party at the Clazel
The Wood County Democratic Party is sponsoring an Inauguration Watch Party at the Clazel, 127 N. Main St., Monday.  Doors open at 10:30 a.m. with the Swearing-In ceremony of President Barack Obama starting at 11:30 a.m.  The public is welcome.

Bingo Sunday at civic center
A bingo event is planned for Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Liberty Township Civic Center. Doors open at 2:30 p.m.

Genealogical meeting Tues.
The Wood County Chapter of Ohio Genealogical Society will meet Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Wood County District Public Library meeting room.
The brief business meeting will be followed by a program on Lineage Societies. Marge Waterfield of the Mayflower Society and Debby Dushane of the DAR will briefly share what each of their societies are all about and also explain why you might want to belong to a lineage society.

Thrivent chapter meets Sunday
The Wood Co. Chapter #30023 of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will meet Sunday at 3 p.m. at Abiding Word Lutheran Church.

Wood Workers meet Tuesday
The Northwest Ohio Wood Workers Guild will meet Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the BGHS ag ed/FFA classroom. There will be a presentation on making acrylic stock for turning pens and wine stoppers.

Book group to meet Tuesday
Just the Facts book group meets Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Wood County Public Library to talk about “The Swerve” by Stephen Greenblatt.
