Assault turns into burglary
An assault incident turned into a burglary on East Wooster Street early this morning.
Bowling Green Police report that at 3:50 a.m. a man said he was "jumped" by a subject unknown
to him in the 200 block of East Wooster.
The subject then entered his house, and the resident was unable to get him to leave.
The individual, Nicholas Manciotti, 21, Toledo, was arrested on charges of assault, burglary, and
criminal trespass.
Another man reportedly involved in the incident, but who did not enter the residence, Gregory Fockler,
21, Toledo, was arrested for criminal trespass. Fockler was cited this morning prior to the incident for
criminal damaging regarding damage to a side mirror of a vehicle in City Lot 1.
Snow makes for slick roads
Thursday’s snowfall created slick conditions for drivers around Wood County, though major accidents
seemed to be few.
Perrysburg Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 475, near Ohio 25, this morning after
7:30 a.m. Medics were called to the scene, but a dispatcher said that minor injuries were reported.
They had had few calls overnight as well.
The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol reported they had approximately seven slide-offs or
other traffic issues, but no injury crashes to report.
Similarly, the Wood County Sheriff’s Office indicated they had not handled many slide-off incidents.
Sex offense in Risingsun
RISINGSUN – A sex offense was reported in the village on Tuesday.
The Wood County Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident was reported just before 9 a.m. in the 300
block of Union Street.
Postponed film on tap Sunday in Grand Rapids
The silent film "The Squaw Man" will be screened Sunday at 2 p.m. in Grand Rapids Town Hall.

The silent film was scheduled to be shown in Grand Rapids Jan. 5, but the show was canceled because of
the snowstorm.
Pianist Lynn Long will accompany the film. Tickets are $10.
The music is presented as part of the Live in the House series.
