TIFFIN - Bond was raised to $1.5 million Thursday for the man facing charges of aggravated murder and attempted murder after a shooting in Fostoria on Sunday.
The charges against Calvin Dixson, 37, were dismissed in Fostoria Municipal Court but re-filed in Seneca County Court of Common Pleas following a two-count grant jury indictment.
Dixson appeared in Seneca County court before Judge Steve C. Shuff on Thursday for hearing that led to his bond being raised to $1.5 million cash, up from $1 million.
He was assigned Tiffin attorney Dean Henry for completion of an affidavit of indigency and will appear for arraignment at 3 p.m. Aug. 13.
Dixson faces the two charges after allegedly shooting his ex-girlfriend, Tyeesha Ferguson, 36, and her mother, Lisa Stowers, 50, at about 1:30 p.m. Sunday in Fostoria.
Stowers was pronounced dead at the scene, and Ferguson was transported by air ambulance to Toledo Hospital. Police have said Ferguson is alert and talking but was last known to be in critical condition.
Dixson was apprehended Cleveland on Monday and brought back to the area Wednesday.
He remains in Seneca County Jail.
