JERRY CITY - A village woman was arrested on a series of charges Sunday after a deputy responded to an apartment on Main Street. According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was dispatched to the residence, in the 300 block of Main Street, at 7:27 p.m. Heather Snyder, 33, Jerry City, had reportedly thrown a small dog against the wall of the residence. She was informed by the deputy that she was under arrest and, according to a report, "began to struggle while being taken into custody and was assisted to the ground to be handcuffed." Snyder was arrested for cruelty to animals, resisting arrest and an additional charge. She is currently incarcerated in the Wood County jail on $15,000 bond. |
