JERRY CITY - A village woman was arrested on a series of charges Sunday after a deputy responded to an apartment on Main Street.
According to the Wood County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was dispatched to the residence, in the 300 block of Main Street, at 7:27 p.m.
Heather Snyder, 33, Jerry City, had reportedly thrown a small dog against the wall of the residence. She was informed by the deputy that she was under arrest and, according to a report, "began to struggle while being taken into custody and was assisted to the ground to be handcuffed."
Snyder was arrested for cruelty to animals, resisting arrest and an additional charge. She is currently incarcerated in the Wood County jail on $15,000 bond.

There are 2 sides to every story and until you know both sides, you should keep your comments to yourself. No animal was abused. It was pulled out of the way to keep it from stepping in it's own urine. No resisting arrest was done. How is putting your hands up palm open resisting? That is called surrendering and submissive. This person loves animals and rescues many. She put herself out there trying to help all the cats in Jerry City when they were being poisoned. Before you point fingers you need to remember that the other three are pointing back at you. Shame on you.

These come off like quite an over recation for a post that only stated people need to be charged more for animal cruelty and commenting on the dogs welfare. Sounds to me like you're the ones that should watch the finger pointing. If the dog was "pulled out of the way" or indeed "thrown against the wall", which any person would seem to think are hard to confuse the two actions, will come out in time. Until then maybe you should keep the finger pointing of your own personal bias to yourselves.
