Howard sentenced to 7 years for sex charges involving 5-year-old girl PDF Print E-mail

One man will be serving seven years in prison for sex charges.
Marvin Ray Howard Jr., 42, currently listed at the Wood County jail, was sentenced recently in the courtroom of Wood County Judge Alan Mayberry.
Howard pleaded guilty to two counts of gross sexual imposition. He was originally indicted for two counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition; the charges were amended as the result of a plea agreement.
The charges stem from incidents reported in 2011 and 2012 involving a girl who was listed as being 5 or 6 years old.
He must also register as a Tier III sex offender.
Also sentenced were:
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†August Allen, 31, Detroit, 18 months for trafficking in cocaine and trafficking in heroin charges.
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†William Hill, 50, Pulaski, Va., sentenced to four years and a $15,000 fine for one count of trafficking in marijuana with specification, one count of aggravated possession of drugs with specification, and possession of drugs with specification.
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Ricardo Oviedo, 58, Perrysburg, sentenced to 23 months, including six for failure to appear as required by recognizance, and 17 months for violation of community control. The sentence is to be served consecutive to a previous sentence.
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Leonard Stimmer, 31, Weston, sentenced to 24 months for burglary. The sentence is to be served concurrent with one already imposed by the State of Michigan.
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Timothy Strait, 42, Bowling Green, sentenced to two years for aggravated assault and harassment with a bodily substance.
‚Äʬ†¬† ¬†Javon Washington, 30, Beaver Falls, Penn., sentenced to two years and a $7,500 fine for possession of heroin.
