High-speed chase leads to arrest (7-9-14)

On Tuesday at approximately 8:50 p.m., Bowling Green Police was notified of a robbery that had occurred
at Tan Pro, 1432 E. Wooster St.
An officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on East Wooster Street and observed the
vehicle turn south on Interstate 75. The vehicle spun out and as the officer drove up to the vehicle
then it continued south failing to comply when signaled to stop.
Police pursued the vehicle to westbound Ohio 6 where the vehicle exited at Ohio 25, crossed over Rt. 25
and crashed while attempting to re-enter Rt. 6.
The car rolled multiple times and the driver was ejected.
The driver, identified as Thomas Fred Quick Jr., 37, of Gaylord, Michigan, was taken into custody and
transported by Life Flight to St. Vincent Medial Center where he remains in ICU with serious injuries.
Quick has been charged with aggravated robbery, two counts of failure to comply with the order or signal
of a police officer, and falsification.
The incident remains under investigation.
This is the third robbery in three weeks in Bowling Green.
