There is something new on the campus of Heritage Corner Health Care Campus - the Skilled Rehab & Nursing Center.
The smallest Medicare-certified rehab center licensed in the state is going to open soon with personalized care provided by a health care team for only 13 rehab patients.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be Friday at noon.
Patients needing acute care and recovering from surgery, illness, injury, strokes or heart attacks will recover in a spa-like environment.
Therapy will be provided in the serenity of private and spacious spa-themed suites.
The center's staff includes physical and occupational therapists. As the patient regains strength, therapies will continue in the therapy center located just down the hall. Dr. Jeffrey Noftz's medical practice is housed in the same building, for physician consultation and laboratory services.
"With only 13 patients, the level of person-centered care and attention to health and wellness will be unsurpassed anywhere in the state," said Mark Manley, owner.
Two of the amenities offered are the attention to fresh homemade food and the restaurant style service that can be ordered from the suite.
Three-course meals can be delivered as room service, or the patient can order from the menu and be served in the dining room.
Chef Mathew Manley has created a menu inspired by his experience at Pinehurst Resort, with attention to healthy eating for those with discriminating taste.
Meals will be served from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for patients, family and guests too.
Patients can choose from three spa-themed suites which include Seaside Chic, Colonial Comfort, or B&B English Country. Reservations can be made by calling Debbie Hatfield at (419) 728-0285.
This project was designed and engineered by Poggemeyer Design Group with general contracting by Garlock Brothers Construction.
The $5.2 million investment in the Skilled Rehab & Nursing Center, as well as the attached medical center and therapy center completed in 2011, created more than 50 new and permanent jobs.
Debra Manley stated that they are proud to be celebrating 20 years in business in Bowling Green, and 30 years of providing health care services to Northwest Ohio.
This addition of the Skilled Rehab & Nursing Center enhances the continuum of health care services on the campus which include Independent Living, Assisted Living, Nursing Suites, Memory Care, Bridge Hospice Care, Heritage Primary Care & Sports Medicine, Therapy Center, and the Discovery Kingdom Child Care.
Heritage Corner is located at the corner of East Gypsy Lane and Klotz roads in Bowling Green.
Persons attending the ribbon-cutting ceremony should use the East Gypsy Lane Road entrance.
