Hearse involved in 3-vehicle crash

LIME CITY – Multiple injuries were reported Tuesday in a crash on U.S. 20 at Lime City Road that
involved a hearse.The hearse, reportedly belonging to Marsh Funeral Home, Luckey, was not transporting a
body at the time.According to the Bowling Green Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, at 12:41 p.m. a Lincoln
Zephyr driven by Brittany Measel, Northwood, was stopped southeast on Route 20 to turn left into a private
drive. The hearse, driven by Theodore Deal, Genoa, was stopped behind it.A Dodge Caravan driven by William
Allinder, Gibsonburg, then reportedly struck the hearse from behind, which forced the hearse into the
Measel’s vehicle.Measel and her two passengers, Kristen Measel and Lilly Bailey, both of Perrysburg, were
reportedly taken to St. Luke’s Hospital.Three injuries were reported in the hearse, but the names of those
injured were not yet available.As many as four injuries including Allinder and passenger Caroline Allinder,
Gibsonburg, were reported in the Caravan. Additional names were not available.William Allinder was cited for
assured clear distance ahead.
