|Health board fires administrator|

The board of health voted unanimously tonight to terminate the Wood County Health District administrator whom employees said created a hostile work environment and made inappropriate comments.
Bill Ault, director of administration, had been with the health district since 2007. The board voted to terminate him after meeting in executive session tonight, and also conducted a 90-minute executive session at a special meeting Tuesday.
Dr. Fleming Fallon, board president, said Ault was offered a chance to resign this week. He would not comment on factors that played into the decision to fire Ault, but said it was in the best interest of the health district as well as Wood County residents.
"We considered a number of different scenarios and outcomes and came to the conclusion that termination for him would be the best thing for the agency," he said, declining to elaborate on what alternatives were considered.
Fallon said hiring a replacement for Ault has not been discussed.
