terminate the WoodCounty Health District administrator whom employees said created ahostile work
environment and made inappropriate comments.Bill Ault, director of administration, had been with the
health districtsince 2007. The board voted to terminate him after meeting in executivesession tonight,
and also conducted a 90-minute executive session at aspecial meeting Tuesday.Dr. Fleming Fallon, board
president, said Ault was offered a chance toresign this week. He would not comment on factors that
played into thedecision to fire Ault, but said it was in the best interest of thehealth district as well
as Wood County residents."We considered a number of different scenarios and outcomes and came tothe
conclusion that termination for him would be the best thing for theagency," he said, declining to
elaborate on what alternatives wereconsidered.Fallon said hiring a replacement for Ault has not been
discussed.
