|Hamilton woman dies in car-train crash near Deshler|

DESHLER — A Hamilton woman died Sunday afternoon in a car-train crash just west of the Wood-Henry county line.
The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at 1:53 p.m. on County Road E west of the Wood-Henry County Line Road.
Rebecca McCoy-Basore, 48, was driving a 1997 Pontiac Grand Prix. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Henry County Coroner.
The patrol reports McCoy-Basore failed to yield for the train and was struck on the driver side of the vehicle. After striking the car, the train continued down the tracks approximately 1,000 feet before coming to a stop with the vehicle in front of the train.
There are no crossing lights or gates at the crossing where this crash occurred. There are 3 signs south of the crossing that is clearly visible to approaching traffic warning of the crossing ahead, the patrol reports.
