Grand Rapids man involved in Swanton crash

SWANTON – A Grand Rapids man was involved in a Monday crash in Fulton County that sent two people to area
hospitals.
The crash, occurring on County Road 1 at County Road D in Swan Creek Township, is currently under
investigation by the Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The Patrol reports that at approximately 4:06 p.m. a 2013 GMC Yukon driven by Gregory Hoffman, 21, Grand
Rapids, was southbound on County Road 1 and failed to stop at the intersection of County Road D.
His vehicle struck a 2010 Lexus operated by Gale Parsil, 65, Swanton. Both vehicles then struck a 1998
Dodge Ram operated by Tommy Partin, 48, Holland.
Seat belts were in use by all parties.
Partin was taken by air ambulance to Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center, Toledo; he was listed in fair
condition this morning. Parsil was taken by Swanton Rescue to Promedica St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee. She
was not listed as a patient there this morning.
County Road 1 and County Road D remained closed for approximately two hours while emergency personnel
were on scene.
