GEM Energy acquires HVAC maintenance firm

WALBRIDGE – GEM Energy, based in Walbridge, has acquired the service business of Marlin Construction,
which specializes in HVAC and maintenance in the Cleveland area.
Marlin Construction associates Ed Paul and Paul George will join GEM Energy’s HVAC service, energy, and
construction group in Independence. Ed Paul, of Aurora, has been named Sales Manager of GEM Energy and
Paul George, of Northridgeville, will become Service Manager of GEM Energy. Together, they bring more
than 50 years of experience in the construction industry.
GEM Energy optimizes the efficiency of facilities for reduced operating costs. Its expertise includes
combined heat and power system design and integration, as well as comprehensive solar development from
funding through array installation.
GEM Energy is a partner company in the Rudolph/Libbe Companies, which is among the region’s largest
contractors and employs 1,000-1,500 construction trades through offices in Lima, Toledo, Cleveland and
Walbridge, and Plymouth, Mich.
