Four people hurt in Perrysburg

PERRYSBURG – Four people were injured in three recent crashes reported in the city.
On May 10 at 10:07 a.m. at 422 Louisiana Ave., Clinton Mauk, Perrysburg, was parked facing south along
the street. He then pulled forward and left out of the parking spot.
Mauk reportedly did not see two motorcycles driven by Thomas McDonald Sr. and Theresa McDonald, both of
Toledo, who were southbound on Louisiana Avenue. They struck Mauk’s vehicle.
Both McDonalds were ejected; Thomas McDonald Sr. was reportedly not wearing a helmet.
Both McDonalds sustained incapacitating injuries and were taken to Toledo Hospital by Perrysburg EMS.
Mauk was cited for improper starting.
Another crash was reported at 12:07 p.m on U.S. 20, just south of Ohio 795 on Sunday.
At that time, Julie Ford, Perrysburg, was driving southeast on Route 20 from Route 795 when Noe Hailey,
9, Perrysburg, entered the crosswalk in front of her on a bicycle. Ford struck her in the left side. She
was not wearing a helmet.
Hailey was taken to University of Toledo Medical Center with incapacitating injuries by Perrysburg EMS.

On Tuesday at 4:16 p.m., Catherine Sullivan, Maumee, was westbound on U.S. 20, just west of Mulberry
Street, when she was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Aaron Bailey, Gibsonburg.
Sullivan sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital, Maumee, by
Perrysburg EMS.
Bailey was cited for assured clear distance ahead.
