First-quarter transactions in county recorder's office PDF Print E-mail

The Wood County Recorder Julie Baumgardner has released a report covering the transactions of the recorder's office for the first quarter, Jan. 1 through March 31.
Among transactions:
•    1,166 deeds were recorded for this quarter, compared to 1,060 deeds being recorded for the same quarter last year
•    1,434 mortgages, with a valuation of $244,403,396.07, were recorded for this quarter, compared t 1,257 mortgages, with a valuation of $195,239,382.22 being recorded for the same quarter last year
Numerous other documents were recorded, in addition to the above, for a total of 5,361 documents being recorded for this quarter, compared to 4,794 documents being recorded for the same quarter last year.
The office paid a total of $295,310.82 into the county for this quarter, compared to  $256,904.09 for the same quarter last year.    
Of that total:
•    $112,873.32 was paid directly into the county general fund, compared with $111,250.82 for the same quarter last year
•    $145,904.50 of the total for this quarter was paid into the housing trust fund less 1 percent back to the county  general fund by the state for the timely distribution of the money to the fund, compared with $127,113.27 for the same quarter last year, less 1 percent paid back to the county general fund.
The remaining balance of $36,533.00 was paid into the recorder's equipment fund for this quarter, compared with $18,540.00 for the same quarter last year.
