A Findlay man died at a Toledo hospital Tuesday night following a vehicle-motorcycle crash on U.S. 6 at the Interstate 75 northbound entrance ramp, just south of Bowling Green.
The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol reports that Dean W. Martin, Findlay, died at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center after being flown there by air ambulance, following the 5:18 p.m. crash.
The report indicates Martin was driving a 2003 Harley-Davidson motorcycle westbound on Route 6 at the entrance ramp when Kalena N. Kuhnle, 22, Bowling Green, was eastbound and attempting to turn left onto the I-75 entrance ramp. Kuhnle failed to yield the right of way to Martin, striking the motorcycle and ejecting Martin. Both vehicles went off the north side of U.S. 6. Martin came to rest under Kuhnle's vehicle.
Kuhnle was taken to Wood County Hospital for treatment by Mid County EMS. She was not listed as a patient at the hospital this morning.
A passenger in her vehicle, Matthew W. Blodgett, 27, of Bowling Green, was not injured.
The patrol reports that Kuhnle and Blodgett were wearing seat belts and Martin was wearing a helmet.
The crash remains under investigation.
