A Findlay man was arrested early Saturday for aggravated assault and domestic violence following an
incident in the 600 block of High Street.
Maj. Tony Hetrick said this morning the Bowling Green police responded to the scene after two calls were
received around 2:42 a.m. concerning a female screaming for help.
The female reported that her boyfriend, later identified as Brandon Barfell, 21, Findlay, had choked her.

Barfell was subsequently arrested by officers. An open knife was found next to him when he was put on the
ground by officers during the arrest. He reportedly did not assault the female with the knife.
Barfell is being held in the Wood County jail without bond on one count of aggravated assault and one
count of domestic violence.
He was scheduled to make a court appearance today.
