|Fifth Third Bank receives Caring award|

Fifth Third Bank - Northwestern Ohio received the 2013 Spirit of Caring Outstanding Company Award from the United Way of Greater Toledo earlier this month. The prestigious Spirit of Caring Awards are award is presented to one company and one individual whose value and concern for humankind is demonstrated through leadership, service and commitment to the people in our community.
Over the past 19 years, Fifth Third Bank has contributed more than $6.4 million to United Way through employee donations, corporate giving, and sponsorships. In 2011, Fifth Third Bank employees held active roles on 167 community oriented boards and humbly provided more than 6,000 hours in community service to the Toledo region.
"Fifth Third is certainly honored to receive this award and we are particularly proud of our employees who maintain a commitment to improving the communities that we live and work in," said Robert W. LaClair, President and CEO of Fifth Third Bank - Northwestern Ohio.
