Familiar Face: Penny Parker PDF Print E-mail

Penny Parker is a co-founder and co-manager of the Downtown BG Farmer’s Market which started four years ago. She works for Wood Lane Residential Services in addition to volunteering with Downtown Bowling Green and the Black Swamp Arts Festival. Parker has worked for downtown businesses for nearly 20 years, in places such as Grounds for Thought, Call of the Canyon and the Clazel Theatre. When she isn’t working, Parker is an adviser for Black Swamp Trailblazers 4-H Club and is a “hobby farmer” with her husband, Dave Shaffer, raising dairy goats and other animals.
