Erik Nagel, maintenance superintendent at the BGSU Ice Arena, is this week’s familiar face. Nagel drives
the Zamboni, handles maintenance, supervises custodial staff and schedules students. Nagel started at
the arena as a student employee 23 years ago and stepped up to this position 13 years ago. A BG native
he is a graduate of Bowling Green High School. Nagel and his wife Monica have three children: Cameron,
Morgan and Cole. Beyond work, Nagel enjoys being an outdoorsman, fishing and playing golf. (Enoch
