Bowling Green State University’s College of Business Administration will celebrate innovation in business
during Entrepreneurship Week, or E-Week, all this week.
E-Week kicks off at 9:30 a.m. Monday with a breakfast in the David J. Joseph Company Business Hub, second
floor, College of Business Administration. The event will feature comments from Krysten Jablonowski,
founder and president of Cribs on Campus, and one of the 2013 Hatch participants who launched her own
business.
Lunch and Learn events will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in the Business Hub.
Panelists include local business owners and BGSU faculty members.
"Unexpected Legal Issues for Small Businesses" will be addressed from 2-5 p.m. on Wednesday in
101A Olscamp Hall. Three sessions will be held, on Immigration Laws and Business Impact, Trade Secrets
Litigation and Commercial Leases. Student entrepreneurs will present their business ideas that evening
from 7-9 in the Lenhart Grand Ballroom of the Bowen-Thompson Student Union. The event, modeled after the
TV show "Shark Tank," features students presenting their ideas to a panel of investors as they
vie for startup funds.
On Thursday, the newest class will be inducted into the Dallas-Hamilton Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame.
This year’s inductees are alumni Earle Malm, retired vice chairman and president of ValueClick, an
online advertising company now known as Conversant; Valerie Newell, founder and chairman of RiverPoint
Capital Management; Lori Steele, one of the world’s top experts in election modernization; and Kermit
Stroh, co-founder of Moulton Gas Service.
The 11th annual Sebo Series in Entrepreneurship will bring events to a close on Friday. The event runs
from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Union Ballroom. This year’s keynote speaker is Daymond John, investor on
"Shark Tank," branding expert and founder of clothing line FUBU. Other featured speakers
include Tom Embrescia, chairman, Second Generation, Ltd.; Paul Hooker, owner and former CEO of Sferra
Fine Linens; and Lori Steele, founder and CEO of Everyone Counts and Dallas-Hamilton Hall of Fame
inductee.
