A 25-year-old man has been charged with rape following a sexual assault reported last week in a residence hall on the campus of Bowling Green State University.
Damarcus O. Buress, Dayton, who is not a BGSU student, remains held in the Wood County jail on $500,000 bond. His next court date is Oct. 16.
The crime reportedly occurred in the Kreischer-Compton residence hall on Oct. 4.
According to court documents, Buress forced the juvenile female victim to engage in sex with him against her will after “choking her around the neck and covering her mouth to prevent screaming.”
