Two people were taken to area hospitals following crashes reported Tuesday in Wood County.
According to the sheriff's office, at 6:45 a.m. Heather Saragusa, Bowling Green, was northbound on Huffman Road, just south of Mermill Road, when she lost control and crossed the center line.
The vehicle then drove into a deep, water-filled ditch, striking a tree in the ditch bed.
Saragusa was taken to Wood County Hospital by Mid-County 120 EMS with non-incapacitating injuries.
She was cited for failure to control.
At 10:40 p.m. Troy Faunce, Helena, was westbound on Fremont Pike just north of Stony Ridge Road when he drove off the right side of the road, striking a mailbox at a residence. The vehicle then went back onto the roadway, and then off again, striking a tree.
Faunce reported possible injuries and was taken to Bay Park Community Hospital, Oregon, by Troy Township EMS.
He was cited for reasonable control.
