Crashes hurt 2

Two people were taken to area hospitals following crashes reported Tuesday in Wood
County.According to the sheriff’s office, at 6:45 a.m. Heather Saragusa, Bowling Green, was northbound on
Huffman Road, just south of Mermill Road, when she lost control and crossed the center line.The vehicle then
drove into a deep, water-filled ditch, striking a tree in the ditch bed.Saragusa was taken to Wood County
Hospital by Mid-County 120 EMS with non-incapacitating injuries.She was cited for failure to control.At
10:40 p.m. Troy Faunce, Helena, was westbound on Fremont Pike just north of Stony Ridge Road when he drove
off the right side of the road, striking a mailbox at a residence. The vehicle then went back onto the
roadway, and then off again, striking a tree.Faunce reported possible injuries and was taken to Bay Park
Community Hospital, Oregon, by Troy Township EMS.He was cited for reasonable control.
