Wood County Recorder Julie Baumgardner has released a report covering the transactions of the recorder's office for the first quarter, Jan. 1 through March 31, 2012. • 1,060 deeds were recorded for this quarter, compared to 1,021 deeds being recorded for the same quarter last year. • 1,257 mortgages, with a valuation of $195,239,382.22, were recorded for this quarter, compared to 1,057 mortgages, with a valuation of $509,327,718.76 being recorded for the same quarter last year. • Numerous other documents were recorded, in addition to the above, for a total of 4,794 documents being recorded for this quarter, compared to 4,481 documents being recorded for the same quarter last year. • The county recorder paid a total of $256,904.09 into the county for this quarter, compared to $233,799.23 for the same quarter last year. • $111,250.82 of the total for this quarter was paid directly into the county general fund, compared with $101,813.72 for the same quarter last year. • $127,113.27 of the total for this quarter was paid into the housing trust fund, less one percent back to the county general fund by the state for the timely distribution of the money to the fund, compared with .$114,841.51 for the same quarter last year, less one percent paid back to the county general fund. • The remaining balance of $18,540 was paid into the recorder's equipment fund for this quarter, compared with $17,144 for the same quarter last year. |
