County man arraigned for Fostoria robbery

FOSTORIA – A Weston-area man arrested in late February in connection with a convenience store robbery in
the city was arraigned in Seneca County court Friday.
Dakota Sharninghouse, 19, appeared in the court of Seneca County Judge Michael Kelbley.
Sharninghouse, who is listed at the Seneca County jail in Tiffin, is charged with aggravated robbery, a
first-degree felony, in the Feb. 28 incident at a Circle K store on Lytle Street. Video surveillance
footage reportedly showed Sharninghouse enter the store with a handgun, which he pointed at the clerk,
and then demand money.
Sharninghouse reportedly left with $190 in cash.
Fostoria police posted a narrative of the incident, as well as a photograph of Sharninghouse, on their
Facebook page following the incident, and Sharninghouse turned himself in to Wood County Sheriff’s
deputies on March 3.
Bond in the matter was set at $50,000, 10 percent allowed, during the arraignment. A further hearing in
the case is set for May 6 at 9:30 a.m.
