|County jail is in full compliance|

The Wood County Sheriff's Office has received notification that the Wood County Justice Center was in full compliance with its Fiscal Year 2012 Annual Jail Inspection.
The Division of Parole and Community Services with the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction conducted its inspection of the jail on Jan. 16. The on-site audit consisted of a tour of the facility and a review of 68 minimum standards for jails in Ohio.
The standards inspected includedprisoner health screenings, prisoner housing, prisoner rules, security perimeter, video and intercom systems, inmate counts, sanitation, local fire/health inspection reports, jail maintenance, prisoner hygiene, fire drills, medical/mental health services, food services, recreation/programming, and staff training.
The jail has a rated capacity of 149 beds and is categorized as a full-service facility which is defined as a local confinement facility used primarily to detain adults for more than 120 hours.
The jail booked 4,446 inmates in 2011, and 4,570 inmates in 2012.
