BRADNER - A baked steak dinner will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday at the Bradner American Legion, 209 W. Crocker St.

Bill Kidd, director of support services, at Wood County Hospital will talk about the new Bowling Green State University Health Center which opens this fall.
The Kiwanis meet Thursday at noon, at Stone Ridge Golf Club.  

Roast beef Friday at VFW
Bowling Green VFW Post 1148 will serve an open-faced roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes and grave Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m.
Saturday will be karaoke night from 8 p.m. to midnight.

PERRYSBURG - Perrysburg Christians United will host a book fair Saturday and Sunday at the 577 Foundation Book Center, 577 E. Front St.
Proceeds received from the weekend will be used to help supply food to the PCU pantry.
Donations of books and magazines may be dropped off at the center.
During the book fair two non perishable food items will be accepted for one book.

Benefit dinner Saturday
A taco benefit dinner will be held for the family of Haven Rush, Saturday from 3 to 11 p.m. at the Eagles, 1163 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
The event will include live music, raffles and a 50/50 drawing.

Rush died earlier this year.

Way Public Library will present a music and movement program, "Read to the Beat," Wednesday from 10-10:45 a.m.
All children ages 3 to 6 are welcome. This lively program will include singable books, action songs, dances, instruments and more. Youngsters will be up on their feet and movin' and groovin' to the music at this special storytime.

Visit Magee Marsh State Wildlife Area in Ottawa County on Saturday at 10 a.m. to learn fascinating facts about the lake through displays and beach activities.   
Meet at the Wildlife Beach at Magee Marsh.  This program is free family fun and is co-sponsored with the ODNR Office of Coastal Management.
Magee Marsh is located at 13229 W. State Route 2, Oak Harbor.

Way Public Library will show the recent feature film 'Lincoln' Tuesday at 2 p.m. on the library's lower level.  
Directed by Steven Spielberg, this acclaimed film is a gripping account of the final days of the Civil War, as time was running out on President Abraham Lincoln's historic bid to abolish slavery. Daniel Day Lewis won the 2013 Best Actor Oscar for his mesmerizing portrayal of our sixteenth president.
This free, adults-only event is part of Way Library's 'Show Me the Movie' contemporary film series which is sponsored by Skotynsky Financial Group, LLC.
Reservations are not needed, and light refreshments will be served.
