Steak dinner Sunday at Bradner
BRADNER - Bradner American Legion Post, 209 W. Crocker St., will hold a steak dinner Sunday with serving from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Emergency planning Rotary topic
Brad Gilbert will speak to the Bowling Green Rotary Club about the Wood County Local Emergency Planning Committee at the Sept. 5 meeting
The club meets at 11:40 a.m. at Bowling Green Country Club.

Stuffed shells Friday at VFW
VFW Post 1148, 719 S. Main St., Bowling Green, will hold a stuffed shell, salad and garlic bread dinner Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m.

Kiwanis to hear BGSU AD
New Bowling Green Director of Athletics Chris Kingston will be the guest speaker at the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club meeting at noon Sept. 5.  Kingston came to BGSU two months ago from North Carolina State University.

Way Library shows 'Les Miserables'
PERRYSBURG - Way Public Library will show the recent feature film "Les Miserables" Sept. 5 at 2 p.m. on the library's lower level.  Hugh Jackman stars as Jean Valjean, Russell Crowe as Inspector Javert, and Anne Hathaway as Fantine in this critically acclaimed adaptation of Victor Hugo's epic novel.
Light refreshments will be served.

Last Waterville tour Saturday
WATERVILLE - The final guided walking tour of the historic district of Waterville will be offered Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Robbins House museum at 114 S. River Road.
The 1838 Robbins House and the 1834 Sargent House will be open from 9 a.m. until noon with docents from the Waterville Historical Society providing information.
