Blood drives in Wood County
Several Red Cross blood drives are scheduled in Wood County next week:
• Monday, 1 to 6 p.m. Weston Church of Christ, 13355 Center St.
• Tuesday through Thursday (Jan. 23) , 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Bowling Green State University Union.
• Tuesday, Owens Community College, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 30335 Oregon Road, Perrysburg.
• Jan. 24, 1 to 7 p.m., St. Jerome’s Catholic Church, 300 Warner St., Walbridge.
• Jan. 25, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., BG Eagles Club, 1163 N. Main St., Bowling Green.
• Jan. 25, 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., CedarCreek Church, 29129 Lime City Road, Perrysburg.
• Jan. 25, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., North Baltimore American Legion, 539 E. South St., North Baltimore.
Liver and onions at Custar
CUSTAR – Liver and onions or a chicken breast supper will be offered Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the
American Legion Hall in Custar.
A free will offering will be accepted for the meal, which includes baked potato, green beans, cole slaw,
roll, drink and cookies.
Proceeds help Legion Auxiliary No. 305 send a representative to Buckeye Girls State.
A 50-50 drawing will benefit Honor Flight.
G. Rapids fish fry Friday
GRAND RAPIDS – Alva N. Sidle Post No. 232 American Legion will hold a fish fry Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.

Fish Friday at BG VFW
VFW Post 1148, 719 S. Main St., will hold a fish fry Friday from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Dine in or carry out. The

BG Legion meets Jan. 23
American Legion Post 45 will meet Jan. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the VFW post, 719 S. Main St.
The group will be discussing up coming events and starting to plan for spring activities.
Boating classes offered
The Toledo Sail and Power Squadron will hold basic boating classes for power-sail-personal watercraft
operators in February, March and May.
There is a reduced rate for family members sharing a book. Ohio law requires those born after 1/1/82
operating a power boat greater than 10 horepower to have a boater education certificate. This includes
personal watercraft operator and supervisory person.

Bingo Sunday at Rudolph
RUDOLPH – Bingo is planned Sunday at the Liberty Township Civic Center on Rudolph Road.
Doors open at 2:30 p.m. with play at 3.

The Bowling Green Kiwanis Club will hear an update on the algae blooms in Lake Erie from Jack Irvin, the
Director of Government and Industry Affairs for the Ohio Corn and Wheat Growers Association at noon Jan.
