Charges of perjury and retaliation have been dismissed against a Bowling Green man already serving 30 months in prison.
The charges against Jesse Patterson, 26, were dismissed last week as the result of a motion by the state.
He had been indicted on the charges in May and pleaded not guilty. A trial on the charges had been set for Thursday.
The retaliation charge stemmed from alleged incidents occurring between April 8 and April 11 of this year, while the perjury count stemmed from alleged incidents taking place between Jan. 28 through April 11.
The charges were dismissed based on Patterson's previous guilty pleas in three earlier cases.
In June, Patterson was sentenced to 30 months in prison after he pleaded guilty to charges of tampering with evidence, escape, and possession of drugs in one case; theft in a second case; and unlawful conduct with a minor in a third case. The latter charge involved sexual conduct with a female in late 2008, when she was 14.
