Dead body found in BG
The body of a man was found at a Bowling Green home Thursday and was turned over to the coroner’s office.
Bowling Green Police were called on a welfare check to 1545 Conneaut Ave., forced entry, and found the body at 8:40 p.m.
The case was turned over to Wood County Coroner Doug Hess. He could not be reached this morning.
The identity of the man has not been released.



Rides available for Perrysburg voters May 7
PERRYSBURG ‚Äď The Go Perrysburg Committee has arranged for voter transportation for those needing rides to and from the voting polls on May 7 in the city.
A Ride Right van will be operating between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Call (419) 931-4958 to schedule a ride in advance.
Scheduling will be on a first come, first served basis. The van that has been donated for the day will not be wheelchair accessible.

OVI checkpoint nets 3 arrests
An OVI checkpoint in Bowling Green this weekend netted several arrests and citations.
The Ohio Highway Patrol said this morning that three people were arrested for OVI during the checkpoint, held on Wooster Street from 10 p.m. Saturday until 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Of those individuals, two of the arrests were alcohol-related, and one was drug-related.
An additional person was cited for driving under suspension. A total of 732 cars were checked.
The checkpoint was funded by federal grant funds and was held in conjunction with nearby saturation patrols.

Holder is guest of BG Rotary
Tammy Holder, executive director of the Beach House Family Shelter, will be the guest speaker at the Bowling Green Rotary Club meeting Thursday. The meeting will start at 11:40 a.m. at the Bowling Green Country Club.
