A Bradner man pleaded Friday to felony charges of rape and sexual battery.
Lucas T. Dezanett, 37, appeared in the courtroom of Judge Alan Mayberry.
Dezanett
had previously been indicted on four counts of rape and one count of
gross sexual imposition involving a minor female victim in Perrysburg.
The amended charges
reflect incidents occurring between Oct. 31, 2010, and Oct. 30, 2011,
when the reported victim was 12 years old. The charges were amended
perusant to a plea agreement.
Dezanett
entered an Alford plea to the offenses. Such a plea does not admit
guilt, but acknowledges that the prosecution had enough evidence to
prove the charges.
A stipulated sentence of 14 years in prison, and registration as a Tier III sex offender were a part of
the plea agreement.
Sentencing in the case is to be held Feb. 21 at 9 a.m.
Bond was continued.
