Both drivers injured in 2 one-car crashes PDF Print E-mail

Two people were injured in separate accidents Wednesday in Wood County.
At 7:29 a.m. Michelle Meyer, driving northbound in the 13000 block of Liberty Hi Road, went off the right side of the road, striking a mailbox. She then overcorrected and drove off the roadway to the left, striking a realty sign, and then a ditch bank. The vehicle subsequently rolled several times before coming to a rest on the driver's side.
Meyer sustained non-incapacitating injuries and was taken to Wood County Hospital by Mid-County EMS.
She was cited for failure to control.
At 8:18 p.m., on Hammansburg Road, a quarter-mile east of Liberty Hi Road, Garik Swope, Cygnet, was westbound when he drove off the right side of the road and struck a pole.
Swope was taken to Wood County Hospital by North Baltimore EMS with incapacitating injuries.
He was cited for reasonable control.
