Dick Bostdorff, the owner of Bostdorff Greenhouse, will speak to the Bowling Green Kiwanis Club at noon Thursday at Stone Ridge Country Club about the soon-to-be-completed living roof at Wood County Hospital.
The living roof will cover the new surgery recovery wing of the hospital that is under construction.
The living roof has a two-fold purpose, to provide energy efficiency and to have a positive impact on patients. Bostdorff Greenhouse is assisting with the installation and maintenance.
Bostdorff is a 1960 graduate of Bowling Green High School and a 1965 graduate of Ohio State University, where he majored in horticulture. He founded Bostdorff Greenhouse north of Bowling Green in 1989.
