Blood analysis program again offered at Wood County Hospital

Wood County Hospital and the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce will host their 19th annual Blood Analysis
Program on April 26 from 7 to 11 a.m. at the hospital. Cost of the event is $40 for chamber investors
and $50 for non-chamber investors.
The 10-hour fasting comprehensive blood analysis screens for 20 health risk indicators including a
complete cholesterol check with HDL, LDL and triglycerides and liver and kidney function. Additional
available tests include a PSA test for men, and TSH thyroid test for men or women; the cost is $20 for
each additional test. Blood pressure checks are also offered.
The blood analysis should be used as a guide to determine your current health status and to make positive
changes in diet, exercise or lifestyle to enhance your well-being. It should not take the place of
routine physicals. A report providing all test results will be sent to the residence of each participant
and (optionally) to his or her physician.
Proceeds from the event will go to support the Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce and Wood County Hospital
Foundation Scholarship Funds.
The Wood County Hospital Foundation Scholarship is designated for full-time undergraduate students at
BGSU in the College of Health and Human Services who are majoring in programs related to the allied
health professions. The scholarship is awarded annually to one student.
The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Scholarship is a $1,500 award that is annually given to one
chamber-affiliated student for their study at BGSU. Students are selected based on their academic
achievement, financial need, and their contribution to the community.
Appointments are required.
To schedule an appointment, call the Chamber of Commerce between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at 419-353-7945.
Appointments will be taken until April 18 or until all spots are filled, whichever comes first.
