Roadways remained treacherous today as Wood County continued to dig out from a multi-day snow storm.
In Bowling Green, the city's snow removal crew planned to spend most of today getting ready for another expected shot of snow Saturday night and Sunday.
"We're going to be hauling out as much snow as we can and making sure the snow is pushed back on the streets," Director of Public Works Brian Craft said this morning.
The city has two crews working 12-hour shifts. Craft said the public works staff is being bolstered by city employees from other departments, such as arborist, inspection and the wastewater division, who have driver certifications for the larger vehicles and equipment. "We reach out to the other divisions to pull together resources."
The city canceled its snow emergency at 8 a.m. Wood County also canceled its Level 1 snow emergency this morning.
