The Wood County Lincoln Day Dinner will take place Thursday at Stone Ridge Golf Club in Bowling Green.
The keynote speaker will be Governor John Kasich.
Social hour will begin at 5:30. p.m. Governor Kasich will speak at 6 which will be followed by a dinner.
A separate VIP reception with Governor Kasich will be held at 5:30 p.m.
Price for the dinner is $25 per person. Attend both the VIP reception and the dinner for $100 per person.
Tickets may be purchased in-person at the Marsh & Marsh Law Office, 249 S. Main St,, or by calling 419-352-2518.

Bowling Green is seeking applicants for its HUD-funded Mobile Home Repair program.  
Income eligible residents of the city who own their mobile homes and have homeowner's insurance can apply for assistance with repairs totaling up to $3,000.
Eligible work includes, but is not limited to, electrical wiring, plumbing, roofs, heating system repair or replacement, insulation/weatherization and any other work necessary to correct health and safety hazards or deficiencies.
The assistance is offered in the form of a deferred payment, zero percent interest loan that is forgiven if the applicant maintains ownership of the home and complies with all program guidelines for a period of three years. Qualified projects are completed on a first come, first served basis.

Wood County Common Pleas Court General Division Judges Robert Pollex, Reeve Kelsey and Alan Mayberry, as well as Wood County Probate and Juvenile Court Judge David Woessner, have organized administratively for 2014.
By statutory requirements of the Ohio Revised Code as well as the Rules of Superintendence for the Courts of Ohio, judges are required to meet and make appointments annually.
Pollex has been selected as administrative judge for 2014. As administrative judge, Pollex is responsible for the overall administration of docket and calendar for the court. The administrative judge also oversees a wide variety of administrative matters for the General Division of the Court of Common Pleas.

Bowling Green Police are awaiting toxicology results before charging a city woman who crashed a vehicle into a 114-year-old West Wooster Street House last week.
Maj. Tony Hetrick of the Bowling Green Police Division indicated that they have sent a blood sample from Eleesha Long, 21, to Lucas County to be tested. SEE MORE PHOTOS
He said suspicion remains that Long was under the influence of drugs or alcohol during the crash.
The crash was reported at 804 W. Wooster St. at 11:16 p.m. Wednesday. Long was westbound on West Wooster when she failed to negotiate a turn and drove over the curb, striking the historic home's covered porch.

MLK holiday closings, delays
The City of Bowling Green offices will be closed on Monday in observation of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Refuse and recycling collection will be delayed by one day.
Bowling Green Municipal Court will be closed.
The Sentinel-Tribune will not be published.

Burglary reported in BG
A burglary at an apartment was reported on Manville Avenue Thursday.
The incident was reported to the Bowling Green Police Division just before 3 p.m.
The apartment in the 700 block  reportedly had numerous items either damaged or missing, including cash and medication.
