For those looking for a new way to display their products on their website, now they can “Spin-it.”
Michael Oberdick of Bowling Green is operating a new business which provides a service of showcasing products in a new way for internet websites.
Developed for the eyeglass industry, Spin-it takes multiple pictures of the product from multiple angles and puts them together in series to give the illusion of the product spinning around to provide a 360 degree view.
Oberdick says the technology was developed by a couple of eye doctors looking for a new way to display the frames better.

Kitchen fire damages Rossford home

ROSSFORD - A kitchen fire caused tens of thousands of dollars in damages to a home on Riverview Place Sunday.
The Rossford Fire Department reports they were informed of the blaze, at 107 Riverview Place, around 8:20 a.m.
The incident was called in as a kitchen fire. Upon arriving on the scene, firefighters observed the kitchen was already well-involved in flames. The crews made an aggressive attack and knocked down the fire, according to a press release from Fire Chief James Verbosky.
The home sustained major damage, estimated at $90,000. There were no injuries reported.
Rossford received automatic aid from Perrysburg Township, Northwood, and Perrysburg City fire crews.

30 vehicles towed, cited in BG Sunday

City police either towed or cited 30 vehicles Sunday after a Snow Emergency was declared for the city.
All told, 19 vehicles were ticketed and 11 were towed.
The Snow Emergency was declared before 9 a.m. and was called off at 4 p.m.

Gibsonburg man dies in BG crash PDF Print E-mail

A Gibsonburg man died Saturday morning in a two-vehicle crash on East Wooster Street near Dunbridge Road.
The Bowling Green Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred at approximately 10:25 a.m.  when a 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo, operated by David Kaseman 58, of Gibsonburg was westbound on Route 105. The vehicle traveled left of center striking head on a 2008 Buick Rendezvous, operated by William Beard Jr., 74, of Pemberville, who was eastbound on Route 105.
Kaseman was transported from the scene and later pronounced dead at Wood County Hospital.

Two area men indicted for pandering sex-oriented matter PDF Print E-mail

A Wood County grand jury recently indicted two area men on more than 25 sex charge counts.
Erik Augustine, 28, Perrysburg, was indicted on 10 counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor, a second-degree felony.
The incidents occurred on or about Oct. 24 and Dec. 13, 2012 and until April 2013.
Each of the counts carries a specification for the forfeiture of property, specifically a computer, cell phone, tablet, and storage devices, associated with the crime.
Scott Safford, 37, Waterville, was indicted on six counts of pandering sexually-oriented matter involving a minor, and nine counts of illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance.

BG schools to hold classes Feb. 17 PDF Print E-mail

Bowling Green's Board of Education decided Saturday to hold classes Feb. 17 instead of taking the scheduled Presidents Day holiday.

The day will make up one of the days lost due to weather conditions.

The board is also working on additional steps to cover issues related to weather and missing school days.

The action was taken during an emergency board meeting.
