From now through May 3t, Miller Insurance Agency will be teaming up with Buckner International to collect "Shoes for Orphan Souls". This program, recently promoted on KLOVE radio, aims to provide new shoes (and socks) to orphans and vulnerable children in the United States and several other countries throughout the world. Miller Insurance, host of the local shoe drive, hopes that with the support of local residents and churches, they can reach their goal of collecting 250 pairs. "We tend to take basic items, like shoes, for granted when so many other around the world view them as a privilege," said Sarah Schroeder of Miller Insurance. "After hearing about 'Shoes for Orphan Souls,' I knew this is one way we could help and know that our donations are being used to directly meet the needs of those less fortunate."
