A Bowling Green woman has been cited following a traffic accident involving a vehicle and a bicycle Saturday on North Maple Street at Conneaut Avenue.
Carol Lashuay was cited for right-of-way at a stop sign after a collision with14-year-old Austin Payne, BG, who was bicycling. He was taken by BG EMS with non-incapacitating injuries to Wood County Hospital.
Monday night during the Bowling Green City Council meeting a South Main Street resident told council he was concerned about crosswalks on South Main Street and said he had heard about a serious accident involving a youngster on South Main over the weekend. Justin Marx told council that he and his son have waited many minutes to cross Main Street.
This morning BG Chief of Police Brad Conner said "We looked back as far as June. We can't find anything close to anything like that" regarding the alleged accident in that neighborhood.
The crosswalk issue came up earlier this summer when council's Community Improvement Committee was hearing concerns of east side residents regarding their neighborhoods.
