Bowling Green State University is "evaluating developments" regarding a faculty member after he was sentenced to seven days in jail Tuesday for an incident in Toledo  Sept. 21.
Dr. Stanley G. Guidera, 56, was initially placed on administrative leave with pay after the incident but has since returned to regular employment pending the disposition of his cases, a BGSU statement said.
He is in the Architecture and Environmental Design Department.
He has also been placed on probation for a year and must pay court costs.
Guidera, of Perrysburg, pleaded no contest last November in Toledo Municipal Court to a pair of counts for disorderly conduct and one count each of driving under the influence, failure to stop after an accident and failure to maintain reasonable control.
The charges resulted from Guidera striking a Toledo Public Schools resource officer with his vehicle and then attempting to flee the scene.

Good to know I can get three DUI's hit a resource officer with my car, flee the scene and only get 7 days in jail and a year of probation! If this had been a student I believe the punishment would have been a lot more severe!! Can't wait til this guy is back on the streets driving again!!

Agreed Earl! Just ridiculous! Plus he is back teaching?!? Great example for the future leaders of our country.

With all the negative press you would think an outstanding university like BGSU would not want to be associated with this.
