Bowling Green State University and the Bowling Green State University-Faculty Association Friday signed an agreement regarding 2013 summer semester pay.
According to the BGSU-FA, the faculty will continue to be paid 3.33 percent of nine-month base salary per credit hour taught.  Base pay will be the current pay regardless of any possible retroactive raises that may be included should a union contract be ratified before the beginning of summer semester.
"We shared the agreement with our deans, chairs and directors Friday so they could convey the information to faculty in their respective departments," university Spokesperson Dave Kielmeyer said this morning. "The agreement allows us to move forward with planning our summer session," he added.
Registration for summer session classes began Monday.
The BGSU-FA said it and the BGSU administration have agreed to a timeline for the remainder of fact-finding and for contract ratification.
"We will be announcing this schedule soon, as well as sending communications to explain the process," a BGSU-FA statement said.
