Bowling Green Police ticketed or towed more than 60 vehicles Thursday for being parked in city streets
over 24 hours or in restricted zones.
The move was undertaken in order for city crews to clear large amounts of snow that still remained on the
streets.
Chief Brad Conner said this morning that 190 vehicles were marked for 24-hour parking.
Of the 61 vehicles the ended up being involved, 25 were towed, said Conner.
"I don’t think 25 vehicles was too bad," considering the number that were marked, he said.
"We had gone through great efforts to notify people through media, through social media as
well," even to the lengths of knocking on the doors of vehicle owners or making phone calls if
their numbers were available.
The department "went to great lengths to get those vehicles moved, and I think it was pretty
successful," he said.
