BGPD investigates theft of $20G in coins

Bowling Green Police is investigating a burglary from a residence in the city which included thousands of
dollars in coins.
The theft is believed to have occurred between 3 and 11 p.m. Friday when the homeowner was gone.
Numerous items were taken including two shotguns, up to $20,000 in collectable coins, and 15 to 20
bottles of liquor from the Caribbean and Mexico.
The following descriptions were provided for some of the coins that were taken:
• $500 Complete Set (Book) -Uncirculated Franklin Halve
• $700 Album Indian Head Pennies – XF condition
• $6,000 All U.S. coins (1999 to present) – MS 70 condition
• $300 Presidential $1 Complete Set, uncirculated
• $200 Native American $1 Compete Set, uncirculated
• $600 Washington Quarters (1963 to present), uncirculated
• $700 Kennedy Halves (1963 to present), uncirculated
• $600 Jefferson Nickels (1938 to present), uncirculated
• $8,000 Washington Quarters (1999 to present) – MS 66 condition
